Never create your blog posts directly on your blogging platform. 

Why not? 

If you didn't save in time - you could be writing and writing and writing while your blog platform has logged you out.

Go to save - and Bam! You're asked to sign in again but you've lost everything you wrote.

Thanks to my friend, Jose Palomino of Value Prop Interactive, for the suggestion to always create posts in Google Docs - THEN transfer to your blog platform before dressing up with formatting, graphics, tags, etc.  

Lesson learned. (The hard way, in my case!!) 

Stand by for my next post - which will be a SECOND draft by necessity.
